February 19, 2007
Hi All
The snow is melting this week and the groomed trails are going to pot. The forest trails and 2 tracks will remain rideable but getting to them may not be real fun. The riding this past weekend was great. There are still a few riders here enjoying their Presidents Day vacation and their kids mid - winter break from school.
Speaking about Mid-Winter break....My son Adam is off school all this week. We have been spending our time out ice fishing. The bite has been a little slow but it is warming outside and it is forecasted to be a real pleasant week on the ice. Being couped up in a shanty the past couple weeks was the only way to survive out there until this week. Wether the fish bite or not it will still be a nice week.
Some people will be starting to plan there Spring Steelhead trips and start to think about there summer vacations. With the warm up my phone has started to ring a little more than usual. Soon, the focus of my reports will be on the fishing side of things.
If we get any good snows I'll keep you posted. We are usually good for a dumping the first weekend of March. We will have to wait and see.

Please keep in mind that Lake County has 156 lakes. We will update you on the ice fishing when the lakes become safe to fish on.
