Hi All

Now that I have something to report here we go! We received 4.25"  in my rain gage between 6 A.M -- 10 P.M. on Thursday the 4 th. and another 1.75 " between 10 P.M. and 6 A.M on Friday morning the 5 th. The river is stained and still rising. The fish responded very well for my trips on both days. I won't get into #'s but here is a few pictures.

In the A.M on Thursday the fish were sluggish compared to the afternoon the water cooled way down and they were on fire in the afternoon. That was the first time I really used my bilge pump in my power drifter. We saw wave after wave of Salmon push by. Yes, the cork came off the bottle for our first real shot of any real #'s to talk about. Before this shot of rainwater I was to depressed to write.

We are Salmon fishing now ! If you would have asked me how it was before this rain. My response might have been like a Dr. Souse book "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish" It was more like Pike fishing with a few Salmon hits in the mix of your Pike fishing for most .

I have only a few days left in September open for trips Sept. 8,10,28. All very prime dates. In October I'm open Oct. 3,6,8,10 then I have quite a few days to fill the rest of October. The Muskegon River peaks for Salmon around that time for those of you who still have a interest in Salmon. For those of you who like to fish behind bait piles. Repeat after me finish your drifts for Steelies, Brown Trout, or even some colored up Coho which are great biters and take a nice picture.

Probably won't have much time to write after this report for a while. So good luck to all out there on the water fish-in, or you guys chasing those birds. Be safe hanging your stands for Bow season. It will be a interesting deer hunting year for those in the lower peninsula this year with the baiting ban for Deer hunting. I have already seen a few pallets of carrots show up at a market. I sure hope those Rabbits and every other critter in the wood are hungry because those couldn't be for the Deer this hunting season.
