Hi All

The weather has been good and bad. I have had some really nice days last week setting a new record high of 84..Then this Tuesday it snowed, sleeted, hailed, and a thunderstorm giving us a couple inches of precipitation 2" of snow and a high of 34 with a wind chill of 26..Need less to say we all froze our butts off unless you were in neoprene boot foots and the better half your winter gear on..The bite was pretty good that day, too bad we couldn't have enjoyed it more..The rivers all came up and flooded after the melt and rain but not to the point of being out of there banks. Just high and dirty..Today the PM is dropping and clearing and should be some great fishing this weekend and next week as long as we can keep the rain away..

The Steelhead season is just getting fired up for the warmer/ nicer part of the season..The Muskegon and the Big Man had ice on there ponds till just a week ago and are still expecting 3 to 4 more weeks of good runs. If anyone is game for some late season Steelheading, I'm only a phone call away..The Trout bite is there for those ready to just spend a day playing the Trout game..Streamers is the name of the game for the trout if you like to work for them. Or we catch plenty of them hanging around the back side of the active gravels eating eggs and nymphs..I like working for them with the streamer rod slapping around meat and potato flies. At the end of the day your arm/ shoulders knows you were fishing and it makes the day go by nicely. Not to mention your rewards are the med. to large fish leaving the smaller ones nipping & wanting the big fly..Maybe next year you little Trout...

We will have good Steelhead fishing here on the PM for another week or two as long as the rain keeps pressing up more new fish. It was starting to thin but after this high water it may be gang buster's next week here..We'll just have to wait and see when the water clears some..

Thank You all for a great Steelhead season so far. The Trout Opener is just around the corner. It's Happy Days when all the rivers open up..
